The Phlebotomist Non-Certified-Weekend Option is responsible for daily routine duties in the lab, ensuring services are provided in a manner consistent with Ohio County Hospital policies and procedures, and its purpose, vision, and values. The role requires a neat, clean, and professional appearance, positive human relations, and adherence to laboratory procedures for specimen collection, handling, processing, test analysis, reporting, and record maintenance. The position involves performing waived tests approved by the Lab Director, adhering to quality control policies, identifying and correcting specimen collection problems, and maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean collection area and equipment, contributing to efficient lab operations, occasional offsite specimen collection, data entry into the hospital computer system, and collecting urine and blood drug screens. The role may involve participation in QI teams and frequent email access for organizational updates and communication. The Phlebotomist must perform all procedures according to established policies and procedures of OCH and adhere to Legal Compliance policies and other regulatory issues.
