Your impact as a Mobile Phlebotomist is vital. You will assist Vitalant’s donor care team in setting up blood drives at locations withing a 200-mile range while creating comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences for our donors. Every day you will help save lives and have a vital impact on your community. Schedule: Sunday through Saturday, Five days a week, variable hours between the hours of 6am-8pm based on business needs, Every other weekend required. Additional $1.75 per hour. Schedule is released the day before at 6:00 PM. Bargaining Unit: SEIU Healthcare Mobile 6 Team Travel Covers the eastern areas of Pittsburgh, including Braddock, McKeesport, and White Oak, as well as the eastern counties of Indiana, Somerset, and Westmoreland, in addition to the Greentree location. Training Information: Training for this role lasts approximately 12 weeks and is based out of our Greentree location. Weeks 1–2: Classroom and hands-on training with a trainer, including travel to various Donation Centers and mobile sites. Weeks 3–4: Field experience alongside a preceptor on mobile drives and at site locations. Weeks 5–12: Continued training in specific skilled areas could include Phlebotomy, Medical Interview, Alyx, and Trima (approximately 4 weeks per area). After successfully completing training and final assessments at Greentree, team members may continue to travel to various fixed and mobile site locations as part of their regular schedule.
