About The Position
Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Snellville, GA. This position is responsible for performing specimen collection on patients of all ages, ensuring accurate labeling, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The role involves direct patient interaction and requires excellent customer service skills. The Phlebotomist II will also be responsible for processing specimens, maintaining records, and adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a formal phlebotomy training program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of phlebotomy experience.
- Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary collection techniques.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Nice To Haves
- National Phlebotomy Certification (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Experience working in a high-volume laboratory setting.
