Phlebotomist II
About The Position
Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for their Westmont, IL location. This position involves collecting specimens from patients and preparing them for laboratory testing. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and excellent customer service skills. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturday from 6:30 AM to 12:00 PM, with Wednesdays off. The pay range is $21.75 - $24.90 per hour, with offers based on skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and market factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonuses.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a formal phlebotomy training program.
- Current certification as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a phlebotomist.
- Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary collection techniques.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and infection control.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Experience in a high-volume laboratory setting.
- Additional certifications in phlebotomy or related fields.
