About The Position

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II Float to support our client’s medical facility, based in Overland Park, KS 66210 This is a 4+ month contract role with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Nice To Haves

• Medical training (such as medical assistant or paramedic programs) is preferred.
• At least two (2) years of experience in a Patient Service Center or clinical setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling with precision and care.
• Ensure proper identification of patients prior to blood collection.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
• Accurately label and document specimens for testing in accordance with medical terminology standards.
• Label, process, and transport blood specimens accurately and efficiently in compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.
