About The Position

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join their team in Colorado Springs, CO. This position involves collecting specimens from patients and ensuring accurate labeling and processing. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Completion of a phlebotomy training program.
Certification as a phlebotomist (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a phlebotomist.
Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary collection techniques.
Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Additional certifications in phlebotomy or related fields.
Experience in a high-volume laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

Collect specimens from patients using appropriate techniques.
Ensure accurate labeling and processing of all collected specimens.
Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Interact with patients and healthcare professionals in a professional and courteous manner.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
