About The Position
Vitalant is hiring a Mobile Phlebotomist II to join their donor care team. This role involves setting up blood drives within a 200-mile range, ensuring comfortable and consistent blood donation experiences for donors, and performing blood draws. Extensive phlebotomy training is provided, making it suitable for individuals just starting their career or those with some prior phlebotomy experience. The position is crucial for saving lives and making a vital impact on the community. The role requires travel within the Downtown Pittsburgh, Oakland areas, and the Greentree location. Training lasts approximately 12 weeks, combining classroom, hands-on, and field experience in specific skilled areas such as Phlebotomy, Medical Interview, Alyx, and Trima.

Responsibilities
- Assist Vitalant’s donor care team in setting up blood drives at locations within a 200-mile range.
- Create comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences for our donors.
- Set up and break down equipment for mobile blood drives.
- Keep blood donors comfortable and informed.
- Perform blood draws.
