About The Position

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Salem, OR. This position operates Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exemptions considered for medical and religious reasons upon conditional offer of employment. Salary offers are based on a variety of factors including skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and market conditions. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a phlebotomy training program.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience with venipuncture and capillary collection.
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to work the specified schedule, including rotational weekends.

Nice To Haves

Previous phlebotomy experience.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
National Phlebotomy Certification (e.g., ASCP, AMT).

Responsibilities

Perform blood collection (phlebotomy) on patients of all ages.
Process specimens according to established procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
