About The Position

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Macomb, MI. This position involves collecting specimens from patients and preparing them for laboratory testing. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and excellent customer service skills. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with every third Saturday from 8:00 AM to noon.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Completion of a formal phlebotomy training program.
Certification from a recognized phlebotomy organization (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
Previous experience in phlebotomy is preferred.
Knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and record keeping.

Nice To Haves

Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS).

Responsibilities
