About The Position

Roswell Park is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to join our Central Lab Services Team. Some Key Responsibilities will include: -Collect laboratory specimens from patients and healthy donors to support clinical care and research initiatives. -Perform phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture, butterfly, and microsampling techniques, at the patient bedside or in approved Roswell -Park outpatient locations. -Ensure accurate patient identification, registration, and proper handling of laboratory orders within Hospital and Laboratory Information Systems. -Process and label specimens in accordance with established protocols to maintain quality, accuracy, and patient safety. -Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and infection control guidelines during specimen collection and handling. Starting hourly rate is $18.33

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in performing phlebotomy and collection techniques; or
  • High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and successful completion of an approved Phlebotomy certificate program.
  • High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience performing phlebotomy and collection techniques.
  • Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
