About The Position

This role involves drawing quality blood samples from patients, preparing specimens for lab testing, and explaining procedures to patients. The phlebotomist will perform specimen collection and processing duties, maintain records, and ensure a safe and professional environment. The position requires accuracy, organizational commitment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification required.
• Keyboard and data entry experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• One+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and draw blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients and the public.
• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
