About The Position

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the organization to patients receiving health routines or life-defining health insights. The PSR I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures. This role involves direct patient contact, building trust and confidence while explaining procedures and executing skillful, safe, and accurate blood draws. The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors focused on process excellence, confidentiality, and accurate patient information.

Requirements

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collection.
• Flexibility and availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience required.
• Keyboarding and data entry experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training, is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• 1+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.

• Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures with confidence.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
