This role is responsible for representing the organization to patients as the primary point of contact for specimen collection. The Phlebotomist I will draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. This position requires creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients, performing blood specimen collection in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner, and demonstrating leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality. Daily activities must be performed accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor. The role also involves maintaining a safe and professional environment, performing both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties, maintaining required records and documentation, and promoting a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.
