About The Position

This role involves representing the organization to patients, drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining patient trust. The phlebotomist will perform daily activities accurately and on time, maintain a safe and professional environment, and handle specimen collection and processing. A commitment to organizational values and a positive public image is expected.

Requirements

Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 6 months experience.
Keyboard and data entry experience is required.

Nice To Haves

Medical assistant or paramedic training.
Phlebotomy certification.
One+ years phlebotomy experience.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.

Responsibilities

Represent the organization to patients as part of their health routine or for insights into health decisions.
Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
Maintain direct contact with patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures.
Draw blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality.
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
Maintain a safe and professional environment.
Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
Maintain required records and documentation.
Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, employees, and the public.
