About The Position

This role involves performing daily activities accurately and on time, maintaining a safe and professional environment, and handling both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing. The position requires drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures to patients. The phlebotomist will draw blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately, demonstrating leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality.

Requirements

• Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience.
• Keyboard and data entry experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• 1+ years phlebotomy experience preferred.

• Maintain required records and documentation.

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients.
• Draw blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality.
