About The Position

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Jasper, AL. This position is responsible for performing blood collection on patients and may perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks in a medical setting. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and excellent customer service skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program.
• Certification as a phlebotomist (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary collection techniques.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and diverse patient populations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a phlebotomist.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish).
