About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join their team. This role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, handling data entry, and providing customer service. As a Float Phlebotomist, you will gain diverse experience working with various patients, team members, and locations, offering opportunities for skill development and career growth within the organization. The position requires flexibility to travel to additional sites and may involve overtime. This role also requires the employee to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, subject to applicable law and potential accommodations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Travel to additional sites
• Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ of age
• This position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Subject to applicable law, all prospective hires will need to provide proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for medical or religious accommodations.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned
