About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join their team in Arizona, covering locations including Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and Flagstaff. This role offers the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience by working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/patient service center locations. This unique role will allow for skill development and continuous growth within the organization, contributing to Labcorp's mission to improve health and lives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency (in lieu of work experience)

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
  • 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
  • Drawing on pediatrics

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
