About The Position

Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier multi-specialty primary care practice with locations in Cape Coral, Estero, Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres. This position is a float position, primarily based out of our Cape Coral location. Our Phlebotomists perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients, collect specimens in the correct container according to COLA requirements, and ensure the correct recording and labeling of all specimens collected. They also clean, maintain, and stock the phlebotomy area, draw stations, and patient restrooms. This role provides coverage at satellite practice laboratories on an as-needed basis, maintains strict confidentiality, and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations. The position requires reliable transportation and a work schedule of Monday - Friday with a Saturday rotation. Reliability is critical.

Requirements

Must have reliable transportation
Great attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately
Ability to develop and maintain a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with providers, staff, and patients
Knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment to perform routine tests
One year of phlebotomy experience required
CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire

Responsibilities
