Phlebotomist- Float
About The Position
Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join their team in Clifton, NJ. This role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, handling patient data and payments, and preparing specimens for analysis. The Phlebotomist Float will also provide customer service and perform administrative duties. This position requires travel to additional sites as needed. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
Nice To Haves
- 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency (in lieu of work experience)
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
- Be at least 21 years’ old
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed.
