About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to work in the Murfreesboro, TN area. This position qualifies for a $1.00/hr float incentive as well as paid mileage. The Float Phlebotomist will work 8 hr shifts between 5:00 AM & 5:30 PM Monday-Friday, with weekends as needed. The work locations will be Murfreesboro and McMinnville, TN. As a Float Phlebotomist, you will have the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
Be at least 21 years’ old
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency
1 yr or more experience as a phlebotomist

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments when required
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
