About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join their team in Princeton, WV. This role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, handling patient data and payments, and preparing specimens for analysis. The position requires providing excellent customer service, maintaining logs, and performing administrative duties. Float Phlebotomists will travel to additional sites as needed and gain a wide range of experience working with diverse patients, team members, and locations. Requirements

High school diploma or GED or equivalent
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
Be at least 21 years’ old

Nice To Haves

1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency (in lieu of work experience)

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments when necessary
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
