About The Position
Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join their team in Kansas. This role involves traveling to various locations, including Wichita, Andover, Newton, and surrounding areas, to perform blood collections and related tasks. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 8 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
- Process billing information and collect payments when required.
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
- Provide superior customer service to all patients.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
- Travel to additional sites when needed.
