About The Position

Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier multi-specialty primary care practice with locations in Cape Coral, Estero, Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres. This is a float position but will be primarily based at our Lehigh Acres office. The role involves performing venipuncture and capillary punctures, collecting and labeling specimens, maintaining phlebotomy areas, and providing coverage at satellite practice laboratories as needed. The work schedule is flexible and requires reliable transportation. Reliability is critical for this role.

Requirements

Great attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately
Ability to develop and maintain a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with providers, staff, and patients
Knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment to perform routine tests
One year of phlebotomy experience required
CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
Must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients
Collect specimens in the correct container according to COLA requirements
Ensure the correct recording and labeling of all specimens collected
Clean, maintain, and stock phlebotomy area, draw stations, and patient restrooms
Provide coverage at our satellite practice laboratories on an as-needed basis
Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
