About The Position

Carter BloodCare is expanding its dynamic team of Phlebotomists and is seeking individuals who are passionate about helping others, committed to delivering the highest care and customer service to our donors, and willing to continue their professional development. This role is a lead position in the safe collection of blood products. It involves sterile venipunctures, facilitating donor flow, assessing donor eligibility, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Phlebotomist 2 will also lead the team's daily functions, use problem-solving skills to address personnel or donor concerns, and participate in leadership/development training. Regular full-time attendance is important. The training schedule for external candidates can last up to nine weeks, with varying days and hours. After training, team members work a variable schedule to meet community needs, which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays, with schedules provided three weeks in advance. This position offers opportunities to work on Mobile Collections teams, traveling to different locations for blood drives, or on Donor Center teams located throughout North, Central, and East Texas, building relationships with regular donors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of general work experience OR comparable education in the medical field, such as an internship or externship.
  • Customer service experience
  • Prior phlebotomy, blood banking, or medical field experience
  • Prior experience in a highly regulated industry
