About The Position

SAIC is seeking experienced, former FAA TRACON Air Traffic Controllers to join their team as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) / Instructors. This role will provide ATC SME, training, and instructional services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at Philadelphia TRACON (PHL). The primary focus will be supporting ATC training requirements at PHL. SAIC is a leading provider of technical, engineering, and enterprise IT services to the U.S. government, with a mission to advance technology and innovation to serve and protect the world. The FAA is responsible for the safety and professionalism of air traffic control specialists, and a well-trained workforce is essential. The FAA employs over 14,000 controllers who manage over 50,000 aircraft daily. To meet training needs, the FAA utilizes contractor-provided instructional services at facilities across the U.S. and its territories. SAIC must provide comprehensive training and support services to prepare students to become fully certified air traffic controllers for all types and levels of ATC facilities.

Requirements

• Experienced, former FAA TRACON Air Traffic Controllers
• FERS retirees between the ages of 56 and 62 (earnings are exempt from Supplemental Annuity earnings limits for this role).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting ATC training requirements.
• Provide training and instructional services.
• Support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at Philadelphia TRACON (PHL).
