About The Position

Bishop Gadsden is seeking a passionate and strategic Philanthropy Program Manager to help advance our charitable giving efforts and strengthen a mission that enriches the lives of residents, team members, and the broader community. This role is ideal for an experienced nonprofit professional who thrives in fundraising, event leadership, and donor engagement—and who is inspired by mission-driven work. As a key member of the Office of Charitable Giving and Communications, you’ll play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and growing fundraising initiatives that sustain and expand Bishop Gadsden’s charitable mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong background in fundraising, advancement, or philanthropic programs
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (mail merges, reports, letters)
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting and fiscal responsibility
  • Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders (residents, donors, leadership, staff)
  • Experience with data analytics and reporting in a nonprofit environment
  • Event planning and committee management experience
  • Professional presence aligned with Bishop Gadsden standards
  • Commitment to confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and resident rights

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of related nonprofit experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead signature fundraising events including the Donor Gala, Annual Giving Kickoff, and Board Dinners
  • Manage donor-centric events that strengthen relationships and inspire giving
  • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities through grants, sponsorships, and philanthropic partnerships
  • Coordinate biannual service projects that engage residents and team members
  • Support and guide multiple Charitable Mission Committees (Annual Giving, Events, Scholarships, Volunteerism, and more)
  • Manage team member scholarship programs and internal giving initiatives such as Shining Star, food, and toy drives
  • Partner with Communications to create compelling fundraising materials and donor recognition
  • Support donor and resident communications and stewardship efforts
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally, including with mission-based retail, to grow charitable revenue
