As a Philanthropy Advisor III on our Austin team, you'll play a key role in advancing our mission by building meaningful connections with donors and inspiring transformational philanthropy that directly impacts the children and families we serve. In this role, you'll manage a portfolio of qualified major gift prospects and donors, cultivating long-term relationships while securing at least $4 million annually in philanthropic support. You'll work collaboratively with clinical leaders, fundraising colleagues, volunteers, and community partners to identify opportunities, develop strategic fundraising plans, and inspire generosity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5 years of fundraising experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while delivering results.
  • Strong organizational, strategic planning, and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a relationship-focused, creative approach to donor engagement.
  • Ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with diverse personalities, stakeholders, and leadership teams.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and committed to achieving ambitious fundraising objectives.
  • A collaborative team player who contributes positively across departments.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of direct individual fundraising experience with a proven track record of securing major gifts preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Raise transformational support
  • Secure $4 million or more annually through major gifts and philanthropic commitments.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of qualified major gift prospects and donors.
  • Develop and execute personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
  • Partner with fundraising volunteers to strengthen donor engagement and maximize philanthropic support.
  • Build meaningful partnerships
  • Develop strong relationships with clinical and administrative leaders across Texas Children's.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to advance fundraising priorities for key programs and service lines.
  • Identify opportunities to align donor interests with organizational priorities.
  • Collaborate for greater impact
  • Participate in strategy sessions focused on major gift prospects and fundraising opportunities.
  • Support Office of Philanthropy initiatives, campaigns, and signature events.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of fundraising and communication strategies that advance organizational goals.
  • Ensure excellence in donor management
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of donor and prospect interactions within the fundraising database.
  • Help ensure the integrity and quality of donor records and portfolio management.
  • Use data to inform strategy, measure progress, and strengthen donor relationships.
