Pharmacy Technician
About The Position
Under the direct supervision of pharmacy administration/staff pharmacist the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for filling medication orders, filling patient cassettes, filling and maintaining point-of-care automation, make deliveries and pick-ups to and from the patient care areas. Responsible for filling of all stock requisitions, unpacking and stocking daily orders, proper storage of all medications, pre-packing of medications, performing assigned floor inspections, keeping track of returned and expired medications, maintaining proper inventory records, following appropriate waste management, IV admixture batching and preparation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required
- Pharmacy Technician Certification required
- Basic mathematical & computer knowledge is required
- Successful completion of all orientations and competencies
Nice To Haves
- Hospital/Retail experience
- RUMC Pharmacy internship or externship preferred
- Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) program preferred
- Pharmacy Intern permit preferred
