About The Position
Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking a highly energetic and clinically oriented pharmacy technician to join their remote pharmacy team. This role will be based in their closed-door pharmacy in Dublin, OH. Through this remote service, they serve acute-care hospitals and community-based retail pharmacies, providing an opportunity to practice hospital pharmacy outside of a hospital setting. This unique approach to pharmacy operations results in flexible work schedules, a team environment, and time to focus on patient care. The pharmacy technician is responsible for answering the telephone, handling calls from hospital staff and retail patients, and assisting pharmacists with order entry operations. This position requires you to work within their licensed pharmacy and not from your home.
Requirements
- High School degree or equivalent
- Must be registered or licensed as required by the State Board of Pharmacy
- Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks
- Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area
- Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
- Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution
- Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
- Adheres to all quality guidelines
- Works under moderate degree of supervision
- Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor
- Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor
Nice To Haves
- Previous work experience in a hospital setting and/or retail pharmacy is preferred
- Proven customer service skills
- National certification is preferred
- 3+ years Pharmacy Technician experience, preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist Pharmacists and other Technicians with daily tasks
- Handle doctor calls and faxes
- Provide excellent customer service to customers
- Works on projects as requested by Pharmacy Director
- Performs order entry as needed
- Maintain friendly and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with medical professionals and customers
- Knowledge and understanding of a retail pharmacy
