About The Position

This position is 100% FTE, working Monday - Friday, with rotating holidays and every other weekend coverage. The work schedule is from 6:00 am to 10:30 pm. The role is located at UW Health Swedish American Hospital, 1401 E State St. Additional compensation components may include evening, night, and weekend shift differentials, overtime pay, and on-call pay. Requirements

High School diploma/GED or presently attending high school.
Current licensure from the State of Illinois. Candidates without a license may work in this role for 60 days from date of license application through Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation.
Those enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy are exempt from certification requirements, but will need to obtain a “Pharmacy Technician- Student Designation” license from IDFPR.
Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification within two (2) years of date license was first issued.

Nice To Haves

Retail pharmacy or hospital experience is preferred, in particular in the following areas: unit dose distribution, compounding non-sterile medications, IV admixture including USP<797> and <800>, and automated dispensing machine technology.
