We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our K10 Pharmacy Team at The MSKCC Koch Center as an Evening Pharmacy Technician.
Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED with 2+ years of clinic/hospital experience preferred
- PTCB or NHA Technician Certification (CPhT) required.
- Current NY Technician License
Nice To Haves
- Omnicell experience is beneficial
- Although prior chemotherapy experience is not required, having strong IV compounding skills is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Compound medications, including chemotherapy, in a clean room environment.
- Perform Inventory management (ordering, receiving, stocking).
- Complete annual proficiency assessments.
- Triage phone calls with courtesy and promptness and refer to a pharmacist when applicable.
- Maintain pharmacy files and records.
- Demonstrate proficiency with appropriate pharmacy equipment, systems, and technology.
- Assist with pharmacy inspections.
- Adhere to State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
