About The Position

Mixlab, a growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for its Milwaukee pharmacy. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to customer service, ensuring smooth operations and dependable service for customers and veterinarians. This is a full-time, hourly position. Applicants must have completed a Board of Pharmacy approved pharmacy technician training program. The pharmacy operates Monday-Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM CST and Saturdays from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential for shifts to start earlier or end later based on operational needs.

Requirements

  • Completed a Board of Pharmacy approved pharmacy technician training program.
  • Experience in a compounding pharmacy, fulfillment, or retail role.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare orders by confirming customer data, compounding, filling, and labeling medications, and packing orders.
  • Ensure accuracy of patient information and records, updating them as needed.
  • Handle customer interactions professionally and courteously.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve issues, undertake special projects for quality and efficiency improvements, and ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and monitor inventory levels according to state and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Organize the work area and maintain the pharmacy's appearance.
  • Cross-train in other Mixlab functions such as customer service, logistics, and processing.
  • Enhance the pet parent experience by suggesting digital process improvements and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Consistently meet accuracy and potency standards.
  • Package and label prescriptions, including bulk medications.
  • Monitor inventory, re-order low stock or expiring chemicals, and receive new inventory.
  • Adhere to USP guidelines for non-sterile compounding.
  • Assist team members and collaborate with pharmacists to solve problems.
