Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Must be registered or eligible to become registered with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy within 60 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a retail setting.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and strong computer proficiency to navigate proprietary and other software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally through written, verbal, and interpersonal skills when interacting with employees, clients, or agency representatives.
  • Must have a strong patient-centered focus.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially via phone.

Responsibilities

  • Receive electronic prescriptions, weekly batches, or refill requests and accurately and efficiently fill them under pharmacist supervision.
  • Perform pharmacy tasks including handling, counting, mixing, and packaging medications.
  • Assist in entering minor edits to correct dispensing quantity and manufacturer NDC.
  • Perform reclamation duties.
  • Use pharmacy software to record prescription data.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, providers, and the pharmacy, handling phone calls and messages to answer questions, fill orders, and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Establish and maintain patient profiles, including medication lists, and use proprietary software to document medication care plans.
  • Utilize pharmaceutical technician expertise to ensure compliance, efficiency, and quality.
  • Participate in company quality initiatives, identify improvement opportunities, and report quality assurance issues.
  • Secure information in accordance with company privacy and security guidelines, including HIPAA.
  • Provide enrollment support for new PACE enrollees.
  • Communicate pharmacy benefit information to network pharmacies contracted with facilities housing CK PACE participants.
  • Coordinate facility discharges to ensure complete medication reconciliation and continued home delivery.
  • Provide help desk support to network pharmacies regarding CK and network pharmacy processes for facility participants.
  • Make outgoing calls to gather or confirm information for customer requests or pharmacy operations.
  • Coordinate and arrange couriers for timely medication delivery.
  • Make outgoing calls to confirm participants have received their medication delivery.
  • Other duties may be assigned consistent with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job.
