About The Position

This position will be located at 1111 Westchester Ave, White Plains, NY. NewYork-Presbyterian is opening a state-of-the-art ambulatory care facility in White Plains, designed to set new standards in patient experience, convenience, and quality care. This multi-disciplinary facility will offer specialized adult and pediatric care. The role involves helping licensed pharmacists provide carefully prepared medications and high-quality care to patients, advocating for patient safety, and assisting with the training of students, interns, and new technicians. This is an opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve alongside respected professionals.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent with the ability to read and write English.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• New York State Pharmacy Technician License.
• Computer/PC experience.
• Excellent human relations and oral communication skills.
• At least one year of prior experience in a hospital pharmacy or health care environment (nursing home care).
• Must be self-started with ability to think independently in solving routine customer service issues.
• Must be able to distinguish colors patient names and other written words on a pharmacy medication label.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with compounding chemotherapy preferred.
