About The Position

Pharmacy Technician The Pharmacy Technician supports our pharmacy team in delivering safe, accurate, and high-quality patient care. This role works closely with pharmacists to prepare medications, assist patients and ensure smooth day-to-day pharmacy operations. This role is best fit for individuals who have great attention to detail and are passionate about the well-being of others.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician certification is required in the state(s) of practice
  • Registered and in good standing with the applicable Board of Pharmacy
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and patient care
  • Ability to navigate computer and systems
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of prior pharmacy experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Receive, process, and prepare prescription orders (including counting, measuring, labeling, and mixing medications as appropriate)
  • Verify prescription and patient information for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications under pharmacist supervision
  • Maintain accurate patient profiles and medication records
  • Assist patients with questions, provide pricing information, and direct clinical inquiries to the pharmacist
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of medications in compliance with safety standards
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Manage prescription intake via phone, electronic systems, and in-person requests
  • Support inventory management, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and monitoring medication levels and expirations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment
  • Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing prescriptions, and processing unclaimed medications
  • Provide general customer service by assisting with store inquiries and locating products
  • Performs other duties as assigned
