About The Position

Pharmacy Technician The Pharmacy Technician supports our pharmacy team in delivering safe, accurate, and high-quality patient care. This role works closely with pharmacists to prepare medications, assist patients and ensure smooth day-to-day pharmacy operations. This role is best fit for individuals who have great attention to detail and are passionate about the well-being of others.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Valid and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician certification is required in the state(s) of practice
Registered and in good standing with the applicable Board of Pharmacy
Commitment to safety, compliance, and patient care
Ability to navigate computer and systems
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent customer service and communication skills

Nice To Haves

One (1) year of prior pharmacy experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Receive, process, and prepare prescription orders (including counting, measuring, labeling, and mixing medications as appropriate)
Verify prescription and patient information for accuracy and completeness
Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications under pharmacist supervision
Maintain accurate patient profiles and medication records
Assist patients with questions, provide pricing information, and direct clinical inquiries to the pharmacist
Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of medications in compliance with safety standards
Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Manage prescription intake via phone, electronic systems, and in-person requests
Support inventory management, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and monitoring medication levels and expirations
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment
Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing prescriptions, and processing unclaimed medications
Provide general customer service by assisting with store inquiries and locating products
Performs other duties as assigned
