About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in a retail store. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow pharmacy workflows, standard operating procedures, best practices, and effective communication standards, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting the role, Technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification, Technicians may also provide services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Technician immunizers may need additional licensure and training to prepare and administer vaccines.
