About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician works in the UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital - North inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, the technician assists in providing medications to patients and performs routine hospital pharmacy duties. The position is per diem/PRN and requires weekday and weekend coverage. Compensation is $25.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current State Board of Pharmacy Registration Certificate as a Pharmacy Technician, as required by state requirements.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Fill medication cassettes under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Prepare IV medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Print and fill label requests for first-dose or STAT medications.
• Deliver supplies and medications to other departments as needed.
