About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and provide caring service to patients and customers. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflow practices, applicable laws and professional standards, and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. They must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; until requirements are completed, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics, where allowed by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers may prepare and administer vaccines after completing required licensure and training, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the pharmacist, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work shifts at other stores in the market as business needs require.
