WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR Administrative Operations Pharmacy Technician The Administrative Operations Pharmacy Technician is a multi-functional support role responsible for helping ensure smooth, timely, and accurate pharmacy operations. This position supports prescription processing, returned mail order workflows across all pharmacy locations, and script processing technician activities at the Portland pharmacy location, as needed. Under the supervision of Pharmacy Operations, the technician processes mailed-in and faxed prescription approvals, coordinates donations and destruction of returned prescriptions, and provides support, as needed, to both onsite and remote teams while following established procedures and quality standards. This position is a full-time, on-site role based at our Pharmacy Warehouse near Gresham, OR. This position requires 40 hours per week, typically scheduled Monday-Friday between 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a pharmacy setting or equivalent experience/training.
  • Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pharmacy Technician License or Certification with the Oregon Board of Pharmacy.
  • Excellent computer skills, including the capability to quickly learn and navigate unfamiliar systems or programs, multitask across multiple applications, and ensure accurate data entry with meticulous attention to detail in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Capacity to start and stop projects seamlessly, despite frequent interruptions, while maintaining attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Veterinary experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end processing of on-site mail, including high-accuracy data entry, complex dosage calculations, and clinical verification of drug/patient profiles for pharmacist approval.
  • Process approval and denial authorizations, making correct decisions on prescription actions, such as renewal or contacting the veterinarian for clarification.
  • Process and sort returned packages by category (standard, controlled substances, over the counter) and enter return information for tracking.
  • Remove personal health information from packaging and medication labels and sort items eligible for charity donations.
  • Track controlled substances in regulatory documents, archive completed reports, and prepare charity donation items with proper inventory and reporting.
  • Coordinate with charity organizations and the PIC for donation logistics and maintain open communication with Call Center Leadership for client contact requests.
  • Provide technician support to onsite teams as needed.
