About The Position

Parexel is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to join our Early Phase Clinical Unit (EPCU) in Glendale, California. This is a great opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician interested in bringing their pharmacy experience into the clinical research environment. You’ll work closely with our pharmacy team to support the preparation, management, and accountability of investigational products used in early phase clinical trials.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience.
  • At least 1 year of Pharmacy Technician or equivalent experience.
  • General knowledge of pharmacy principles, practices, procedures, medications, and pharmacy-related calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work the required morning and weekend schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with EPCU pharmacy staff to support investigational product activities for clinical studies.
  • Assist with the preparation, labeling, and dispensing of investigational products in accordance with study protocols, randomization schedules, SOPs, and applicable regulations.
  • Ensure study medications are properly stored, secured, and available for scheduled dosing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for the receipt, preparation, dispensing, return, and disposition of investigational products.
  • Support inventory management to help ensure adequate study and reference products are available.
  • Maintain and archive pharmacy documentation related to clinical studies.
  • Follow EPCU Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and Good Pharmacy Practice requirements.
  • Support sponsor monitoring visits related to pharmacy documentation and investigational product accountability.
  • Participate in applicable project and client meetings.
  • Contribute to pharmacy process improvements and quality initiatives.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy and clinical research colleagues to support efficient study execution.
