Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Ocean City, MD
•$17 - $25•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing compassionate service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflow practices, and applicable laws and policies, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment. After starting the role, Technicians must complete the company training program and meet registration, licensing, and certification requirements established by their state Board of Pharmacy. Until those requirements are completed, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. Where permitted by law and supported by training and certification, Technicians may also provide services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Technician Immunizers may complete additional training and licensure, educate patients about vaccines, refer clinical questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, collect and document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This is a full-time position with 30 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour; the actual offer depends on factors including experience, education, and geography. Eligible colleagues receive a comprehensive benefits package supporting physical, emotional, and financial well-being.
