About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and provide caring, personalized service to patients. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe and inclusive team environment. After starting, technicians must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Depending on state law and required training or certification, technicians may also support patient health services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, and may staff offsite clinics. Where permitted, technicians with the required immunizer status may prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies.
