About The Position

This role is responsible for managing Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs), monitoring and controlling inventory levels, handling receiving and storage protocols for incoming supplies and medications, and performing medication repackaging and unit-dose preparation. The Pharmacy Technician will ensure continuous medication access, maintain optimal stock levels, adhere to strict storage standards, and accurately prepare medications according to institutional policies and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Registration with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board required.
Must provide proof of application to register with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board and once registration is granted, must be maintained.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association preferred.
Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain, restock, verify expiration dates, ensure secure storage, and promptly resolve technical issues for all ADMs to ensure continuous medication access.
Systematically monitor all pharmacy inventory (supplies, medications, OTC products).
Maintain optimal stock levels, using par levels and demand forecasting to determine reorder points and initiate timely procurement.
Handle all incoming supplies: receive, verify against purchase orders, inspect for damage, unpack, and ensure secure storage adhering to strict temperature, light, and security standards (e.g., refrigerator, vault).
Accurately and safely repackage bulk medications into unit-dose forms, strictly following institutional policies and regulatory guidelines for correct labeling, dosage, and sterility.
