Pharmacy Technician - Animal Hospital
About The Position
Angell Animal Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join their team. This Full Time position involves a Day Shift schedule, working Monday-Thursday and rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday), with some holidays required. The role requires knowledge of MA Board of Pharmacy regulations and previous retail pharmacy practice experience. This is a unique opportunity to transition your retail pharmacy skills into a veterinary hospital setting. Responsibilities include managing pharmacy phone calls, processing medication refill requests, communicating with outside practices regarding medication orders, collaborating with veterinary staff on prescription orders, and fulfilling medication and prescription food orders. Additionally, you will be responsible for flavoring pet-friendly dosage forms according to basic pharmacy practices.
Requirements
- Knowledge of MA Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Previous retail pharmacy practice experience
- Ability to work Full Time, Day Shift, Monday-Thursday and rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
- Ability to work some holidays
