About The Position
Thrifty White Pharmacy hires Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Technicians-in-Training to support the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of healthcare. Pharmacy Technicians may practice at the top of their license through programs and initiatives, including immunization certification and learning long-term care pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician-in-Training role includes enrollment in Thrifty White’s Board of Pharmacy-approved training program and can be worked part-time or full-time while learning the fundamentals of pharmacy work. Training includes online modules, internal video trainings, and hands-on instruction with a designated preceptor at no cost to the trainee. The posting lists pay ranges of $14.85–$20.00 for Technician-in-Training, $15.85–$24.00 for Registered Tech, and $16.35–$25.50 for Certified Tech.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to build customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Promote Thrifty White programs, including Ready Refill, Medication Synchronization, and HealthyPackRx, and assist patients with enrollment.
- Support the Pharmacist in clinical service offerings.
- Count, measure, and package medication in the appropriate container under pharmacist supervision and final approval to accurately fill prescriptions.
- Enter prescriptions into the computer for accurate transmission to insurance companies.
