About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician, under direct pharmacist supervision, is responsible for maintenance of medication distribution systems within the Adena Health System. The Certified Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting with all aspects of pharmacy business provided in hospital, cancer center, and home care pharmacy. Skills and training may be varied depending on the specific services provided within each entity. Decisions are made in collaboration with a pharmacist. This position may provide direct patient care and has access to patient and financial confidential information, non-controlled and controlled drugs and certain hospital funds.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Pharmacy Technician
Responsibilities
- Maintenance of medication distribution systems within the Adena Health System.
- Assisting with all aspects of pharmacy business provided in hospital, cancer center, and home care pharmacy.
- Providing direct patient care.
- Handling patient and financial confidential information.
- Managing non-controlled and controlled drugs.
- Handling certain hospital funds.
