About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and serve as an initial point of contact for patients and customers. Technicians follow company Standard Operating Procedures, pharmacy workflow procedures, applicable laws and professional standards, and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. They are expected to provide caring, personalized service and contribute to a safe, inclusive team environment. After starting in the role, Technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are satisfied, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. Depending on state law and additional training and certification, Technicians may also support immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics. Eligible part-time colleagues may have access to benefits and programs supporting physical, emotional, and financial well-being, depending on hours worked and eligibility. These may include dental and vision benefits, wellness resources, employee discounts, and certain voluntary benefits.
