In this role you will be responsible for preparing, labeling, and packaging medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will also deliver medications to nursing units and patient care areas in a timely manner, accurately enter and maintain medication orders in the pharmacy information system, and compound sterile and non-sterile preparations according to USP standards. Additionally, you will maintain accurate medication inventory, restock automated dispensing machines, and conduct periodic inventory audits. This role also involves assisting in medication reconciliation and billing processes, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and state/federal pharmacy regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization in pharmacy work areas, and collaborating with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care.
