About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately. Technicians provide caring service, follow Standard Operating Procedures and best practices, and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. They are expected to contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging workplace and complete company training as well as state-specific registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until all requirements are met. Technicians may support additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics when permitted by law and supported by the required training and certification. Where allowed, Technician Immunizers may complete additional training and licensure requirements to prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends; the ability to complete required training on time; and the ability to focus, move quickly between tasks, communicate effectively, use basic mathematical reasoning, and resolve problems. Physical demands include remaining upright for extended periods, handling and moving items, reaching, repetitive finger movements, stooping, and close visual work. The position is full-time, with 40 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $18.94–$28.94 per hour. Eligible full-time colleagues may receive medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources, subject to eligibility.
